Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your guide and begin the journey west toward Kibale Forest National Park. The drive traverses rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages, providing a scenic introduction to Uganda’s landscapes.
Check in at your lodge near the park and enjoy dinner while preparing for the primate trekking adventure ahead. The surrounding rainforest ambiance sets the stage for your wildlife encounters.
Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and assignment to a chimpanzee group. The trek can take from one to several hours, depending on the chimpanzees’ location, and involves walking through dense tropical forest.
Encountering chimpanzees in the wild is a thrilling and intimate experience. Watch as they forage, groom, and play, closely observed by skilled park rangers. Other primates, such as red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, and L’Hoest’s monkeys, may also be seen during the trek.
After trekking, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.

Begin the day with a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a short drive from Kibale. This area hosts a variety of birds, reptiles, and small mammals, offering excellent photography and wildlife observation opportunities.
