Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Murchison Falls & Boat Cruise to the Delta

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

The route north passes through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where a short stop allows a first look at Uganda's only wild rhino population before continuing on to the park. The final approach to the birding sites here runs along the edge of the Nile's floodplain, where papyrus swamp habitat becomes visible well before the boat launch.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Top of the Falls Hike

A morning game drive is followed by an afternoon hike to the top of the falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow rock gorge. The extended Nile Delta cruise on this itinerary makes the top-of-falls hike feel like the dramatic counterpart to a much calmer stretch of river seen earlier in the trip.

Day 3: Nile Delta Boat Cruise
