Gorilla habituation is a unique experience that is only available in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. It was brought to Bwindi on January 1, 2014, by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, or “UWA.”Those who wish to participate in the mountain gorilla encounter must spend USD 1500 per person.Two gorilla families have been split up and devoted in the Rushaga zone, one of the four sectors of the Uganda Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, according to the Uganda Wildlife Authority.
In contrast to gorilla trekking, which is limited to an hour, visitors spend a lot longer time with these magnificent primates during a gorilla habituation tour. The Bitukura, Oruzogo, and Kyaguliro groups are in the eastern part of Bwindi. The Nshongi, Mishaya, Busingye, Bweza, Kahungye, and Nkuringo gorilla families are in the southern part of Bwindi.Only eight gorilla permits are available and can be acquired from the Uganda Wildlife Authority. The two gorilla families, which are located in the Nkuringo and Rushanga sections of the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, have been set aside for gorilla habituation experiences.
In contrast to the USD 800 charged for gorilla trekking, the Ugandan gorilla habituation experience costs USD 1500 per day for foreign nonresidents, USD 1000 for foreign residents, and UGX 750,000 for East African members.

The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in the Kanungu area in southwest Uganda.
It takes roughly nine to ten hours to drive from Kampala to the Rushaga area of Bwindi, passing through Masaka, Mbarara, Kabale, and the main destination. Four-wheel drive vehicles are advised.
