Detailed Itinerary: 4 Days Rwanda Honeymoon Gorilla Safari

Day 1: Private Arrival & Welcome Dinner

You'll be met at Kigali airport by a private driver-guide and transferred to a boutique lodge, where a welcome dinner is arranged for your first evening in Rwanda. Coffee cooperatives dot the roadside on this route as well, part of Rwanda's growing specialty coffee industry, alongside the more visible tea plantations.

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

A scenic private drive takes you to Musanze, where you'll check into a lodge selected for its views and boutique character rather than sheer size, with a sundowner arranged for the evening. This stretch of road was significantly upgraded in the past decade, cutting what was once a much longer, rougher journey down to a comfortable half-day drive.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Private Dinner

Following the standard trekking format, an early briefing and guided hike bring you face to face with a wild gorilla family for a full hour. That evening, a private candlelit dinner is arranged at your lodge to mark the occasion. The steepest, muddiest stretches tend to come in the middle third of the hike, after the trail leaves cultivated farmland and enters the true forest edge.

Day 4: Leisure Morning & Departure

With no fixed activity planned, the morning is yours to relax or arrange an optional spa treatment before your private transfer back to Kigali for your departure flight.
