Paraa Safari Lodge

Paraa Safari Lodge is one of Murchison Falls National Park’s original lodges, set on the northern bank of the Victoria Nile with direct access to the boat cruise that runs up to the base of Murchison Falls itself, where the entire Nile forces through a gap in the rock only a few meters wide.

Setting

Its riverside position gives it one of the more established settings in the park, with hippo and crocodile regularly visible from the grounds and the falls boat launch close by, cutting down on transfer time before the cruise.

Activities

Game drives across the park’s northern delta sector, the falls boat cruise, and in some seasons a hike to the top of the falls themselves are the main activities available from the lodge, giving a mix of water- and land-based wildlife viewing in one stay.
