Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel near Lake Victoria. Depending on arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, explore nearby attractions, or enjoy the tropical lakeside environment. This day allows you to prepare for the upcoming safari adventure while recovering from travel.
Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you begin the journey to southwestern Uganda, traveling through rolling hills, rural communities, and agricultural landscapes. A stop at the equator crossing is typically included for photographs and refreshments before continuing toward the mountainous Kigezi Highlands.
The drive offers spectacular scenery with terraced hills and lush vegetation as you approach Bwindi Forest. Arrival is in the afternoon or evening depending on your sector location. After check-in, you relax at your lodge surrounded by rainforest sounds and mountain views. Dinner and overnight near Bwindi.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Following an early breakfast, you transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before beginning your gorilla trek. Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you hike through dense forest terrain searching for a habituated gorilla family.
Once located, you spend one unforgettable hour observing mountain gorillas at close range. Watching their social interactions, feeding behavior, and playful young individuals is often described as a deeply emotional and life-changing experience. After returning to the lodge, you relax and enjoy the peaceful environment of the forest.

Today focuses on cultural immersion within communities surrounding Bwindi Forest. You may participate in the Batwa cultural experience, where indigenous Batwa guides share traditional forest survival skills, music, storytelling, and historical knowledge of their ancestral lifestyle. Additional community visits may include local schools, craft markets, or women’s cooperatives that support conservation and sustainable tourism.
