Detailed Itinerary: 7 Days Rwanda & Uganda Gorilla and Wildlife Safari from Kigali
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – City Tour
Arrival at Kigali International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a guided Kigali city tour including the Kigali Genocide Memorial and local markets.
Evening safari briefing and overnight in Kigali.
Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda. The scenic route offers views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural communities.
Afternoon relaxation at your lodge near the park headquarters in Kinigi. Optional cultural visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Early morning briefing before trekking to track a habituated mountain gorilla family. The hike takes you through bamboo forests and volcanic slopes.

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Uganda)
After breakfast, cross the Cyanika border into Uganda and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey passes terraced hills and vibrant rural landscapes.
Arrive in the afternoon and check into your forest lodge. Optional community walk in the evening.
Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (via Ishasha Sector)
Depart Bwindi for Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, pass through the Ishasha sector, famous for its tree-climbing lions (seasonal sightings).
Arrive in the afternoon for relaxation or a short evening game drive. Overnight at a lodge near the savannah plains or Kazinga Channel.
Day 6: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Safari
Begin with a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Expect sightings of elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, and possibly lions or leopards.
