Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

The route north passes through Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where a short stop allows a first look at Uganda’s only wild rhino population before continuing on to the park. The final approach to the birding sites here runs along the edge of the Nile’s floodplain, where papyrus swamp habitat becomes visible well before the boat launch.
