Snacks are just extra food to eat between big meals, not a meal on their own.
Safaris can be tiring and wear you out, so it’s important to bring healthy snacks to help give you energy.
Food on Safari
Also, 70% of the safari activities are in far wild places, where there is no food or anything to satisfy your thirst. You will only get a snack during your exercise.

If you have a health issue and can’t wait for your planned meals, having a snack is a good option while you wait.
There are many of them, and they change based on area and availability. Below, we will provide some ideas for you to choose from based on your preferences and budget.
Nuts that are high in energy. For example, gnats, cashews, pecans, almonds, and more. These are great for keeping your body energized and ready for any adventure you go on. The only problem with nuts is that some people are allergic to them, so they aren’t suitable for everyone.
Fruit – either fresh or dried. On a tour in East Africa, you can find many fresh fruits like mangoes, jackfruit, bananas, apples, oranges, grapes, guavas, and sweet fruits. You can enjoy these fresh fruits as snacks. If you don’t like fresh fruit, you can choose dried fruits like raisins, roasted pumpkin seeds, apricots, or cherries instead.
Energy bars like candy, chocolate, granola, cliffs, etc. can also be good snacks and they are light and easy to take.
Bread snacks like sandwiches, grub, just bread itself, French toast etc.
Dried or baked Ugandan foods like cassava, sweet potatoes, matooke, and ganja can make tasty snacks.
Energy drinks can be a tasty snack. Things like pop, coconut water, and some sports drinks.
Other popular snacks include crisps, Crackers, pretzels, Pringles, daddies, popcorn hard corn and many more.
These are our ideas, but there are many other snacks you can bring for your safari, based on what you like and what you can find.
Please make sure to pack these snacks in clean and good condition containers so they stay fresh and healthy. This is to prevent the snacks from getting contaminated.
Make sure to always bring water with you along with your snacks. Water is like and everything.
