Detailed Itinerary: 7 Days Uganda Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Hotel
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short visit to the botanical gardens or relax by Lake Victoria.
Evening safari briefing to review the itinerary, safety measures, and wildlife viewing tips. Overnight in Entebbe.
Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
Drive north to Murchison Falls National Park. The journey includes scenic views of rural Ugandan villages and the Nile River basin.
Afternoon game drive on the northern bank of the Nile. Expect sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. Overnight at a lodge near the park.
Day 3: Murchison Falls Game Drive & Boat Safari
Upon arrival at Volcanoes National Park, you’ll be greeted by the cool, misty air and the verdant forest that characterizes this unique ecosystem. After checking in at the park headquarters in Kinigi, you’ll join other trekkers for the pre-trek briefing.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive southwest to Queen Elizabeth National Park. En route, enjoy scenic views of the Rwenzori foothills and crater lakes region.
Evening relaxation at your lodge overlooking the savannah or Kazinga Channel. Short guided walks near the lodge may be arranged for children or photography enthusiasts.
Day 5: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains. Look out for elephants, lions, buffalo, Uganda kob, and other savannah wildlife.
Afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Witness large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and abundant birdlife in a safe and comfortable environment. Return to your lodge for overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive southwest to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to mountain gorillas. The journey passes terraced hills, tea plantations, and local villages.
Afternoon at the lodge to relax and prepare for gorilla trekking. Optional short nature walks around the lodge area. Overnight in Bwindi.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Return to Entebbe
Morning gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Spend one regulated hour with a habituated gorilla family, observing silverbacks, mothers, and playful juveniles.
After the trek, begin the return journey to Entebbe. The drive offers scenic highland landscapes and photo opportunities.
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport for onward departure concludes your 7-day Uganda Safari.
