People say that Bacuranuka island is upside down since an old lady cursed it in the past; it is thought that the old lady arrived to the island and discovered men brewing locally known as the “obushera” in the local tongue. Rigors when that old lady got to the mainland she cursed the island and it turned upside down burning the men who never left the island. She had to ask the men to give some of the local brew, but they refused and offered to give her aside to the mainland.
Kyahugye Island.
